A truly unique piece of art - This floral starburst antique stone jali panel dates from the 19th century and is hard carved with geometric stars and flowers. It has clear Mughal influences and has traces of the original blue white lime paint finish.
These panels would have come from stone havelis, the stylish homes of the wealthy. The design of these windows was such that they gave privacy while allowing a cooling breeze to enter the building.
