Chinese Spring Bench From Shanxi - 19th Century
Known as spring benches, these pretty Chinese benches used to be seen outside shops and small restaurants in China and used by both staff and customers to enjoy the fresh air. Constructed from elm with lacquered sides and from Shanxi Province. It is carved with a beautiful cloud motif and dates to the 19th century.
